Germany’s best employers: good ranking for Dürr

Bietigheim-Bissingen, March 22, 2021 - Would you recommend your employer? This question was at the center of a survey of over 47,500 employees. The responses make up the ranking published by German magazine 'Stern', for which an independent market research institute identified Germany's best employers in 2021. Dürr and HOMAG ranked 6th and 30th, respectively, in the mechanical and plant engineering category. In the overall classification of all sectors, Dürr narrowly missed the top 50.

Says Head of Corporate Human Resources, Klaus Achtelik: 'The coronavirus pandemic is presenting employers with particular challenges. Achieving a high-ranking position in an important sector comparison during this time is testament to the good working conditions and employee benefits we offer our staff in future-oriented industries.'

At least 100 evaluations
Results were gathered for a total of 2,600 German companies with a minimum of 500 employees. A company needed to have at least 100 evaluations as the initial prerequisite for it to be considered for the assessment. The best 650 employers are listed in the ranking, which Stern magazine has now published for the second time. In the overall classification, Dürr landed in 53rd place and missed the top 50 by just 0.25 rating points.

More than 47,500 employees evaluated not only their own organization, but also other companies in the industry. The assessment was based on a total of 1.73 million evaluations. The questionnaire asking about the participants' own employer comprised over 50 topics, the most important point being whether they would recommend their employer.
