The national volunteering tour to repair agricultural machinery and equipment is planned prior to the farming season in autumn

For 4 weeks from August 16 to September 8, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (Minister Chung Hwang-keun, MAFRA) will take the 2022 autumn national volunteering tour to repair agricultural machinery and equipment at 290 eup‧myeon‧dongs in 124 cities or guns. The tour is designed to help farmers use agricultural machinery and equipment without any inconvenience during the farming season in autumn.

The volunteering team of this tour to repair agricultural machinery and equipment includes the original members of 6 agricultural machinery and equipment manufacturers ("Daedong Corporation", "TYM Corporation", "LS Mtron LTD", "Asia Technology Co., LTD", "Shin Heung Industry Co.", "Han Sung T&I Co., LTD") and 74 repairers (55 teams), along with this year's new members of 1,002 repairers from local Nonghyup agricultural machinery and equipment centers.

The volunteering team plans to provide examination, repair, and maintenance services for agricultural machinery and equipment frequently used during autumn such as tractor, combine, farm master, and cultivator for free while receiving only the actual price for parts, providing real help to farmers. For reference, farmers should take responsibility for simple breakdown or failure of their machinery and equipment.

For more detailed schedules for the national tour of volunteering repair activities for each region, one can consult with city halls·county ("gun") offices (eup‧myeon‧dong) and agricultural machinery and equipment agencies located in cities・guns.

Director Moon Tae-seob of the Agricultural Machinery & Equipment Policy Team of MAFRA said, "Going forward, we will continuously promote the national tour of volunteering repair activities prior to the farming season in spring‧autumn. I wish this can be helpful for farmers."
