Notary Practice Exam On Google Home
SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Office of the Utah Lieutenant Governor announced the introduction of the Utah notary practice exam on Google Home. The convenient, voice-activated practice exam helps new notaries review test questions for the Utah Notary Test with Google's popular voice-controlled speaker and digital assistant, Google Home.
'New Notaries need to cover a lot of information to certify for a commission,' said Jennifer Storie, Office of the Lieutenant Governor. 'We are always looking for new ways to help notaries be more successful in the important role they play.'
At the recent Utah Digital Government Summit, the Lieutenant Governor's notary website, which provides notary information on training and certification was chosen as the winner of the Utah CIO Best of Utah Award in Emerging Technology. The award recognizes state agencies and services for excellence and innovation.
A notary public is a person authorized by state government to serve the public as an impartial witness in performing a variety of official fraud-deterrent acts related to signing important documents. The digital assistant, included with Google Home, helps new notaries study for the exam by reviewing questions. Notaries will be asked several questions from the exam. For example, Google Home might ask, 'A valid government-issued ID card must include a photograph, signature, and...?' Respondents would answer, 'a physical description.'
'We've proven voice-activated quizzes are a great way to educate Utahns,' said Mike Hussey, State of Utah, Chief Information Officer. 'We are planning on adding more state services that utilize digital assistants to ease interactions with state government.'
