The servicemen of the anti-terror unit of a separate helicopter regiment of the Central Military District (CMD), based in the Novosibirsk region, repelled an attack by a mock illegal armed formation (IAF) and prevented the capture of aircraft.
According to the plan of the anti-terrorist exercise, the mock enemy attempted to penetrate the territory of the military airfield from several directions at once in order to seize aircraft. Anti-terror groups were alerted and moved into the area of terrorist infiltration. Under the cover of armored vehicles, the servicemen blocked and destroyed a mock illegal armed group, capturing the leader of the bandit group.
As part of the exercise, the anti-terror units, together with the fire brigades of the helicopter regiment, practiced the issues of joint actions in the event of a possible explosion and fire on the territory of a military airfield, as part of the anti-terror groups, conditionally wounded servicemen were evacuated, and also performed engineering reconnaissance of the area for the presence of explosive devices.
To create a real situation in the exercise, smoke simulators, blank ammunition and explosives were used.
The event was attended by over 200 military personnel, about 10 units of military equipment were involved.
