57 insurgents were killed
Kabul, Afghanistan: Afghan National Defense and Security forces launched 9 clearing operations and 85 Special Forces' operations in different parts of Afghanistan in the past 24 hours. Afghan Air Forces, also, conducted 136 freights supporting Afghan National Army and carried out 3 airstrikes on enemies' sanctuaries. As a result, 57 insurgents were killed and 35 other were wounded.
During these operations in the past 24 hours , Afghan National and Defense Security forces shelled and bombed the enemies' positions and sanctuaries by artilleries and air forces in Nangarhar , Kunar , Ghazni , Paktia , Oruzgan , Zabul , Farah , Badghis , Faryab and Helmand provinces.
Enemies suffered heavy causalities in these operations. 17 insurgents were killed in Nawa and Khogyani districts of Ghazni. 14 insurgents were killed and 15 other were wounded in Balablok district of Farah. 10 insurgents including a Taliban commander killed , 1 was wounded , 2 vehicles , 3 motorbikes , an IED making factory and some round of weapons and ammunition destroyed in Greshk , Nad Ali and Desho districts of Helmand.
Similarly, 7 insurgents were killed, 3 were wounded and 5 IEDs were defused in Oruzgan capital. 6 insurgents were killed, 15 were wounded and 2 bags of explosives were seized in Sherentagab district of Faryab. Tortkol and Balocha areas cleared from insurgent's presence as well. 1 insurgent was killed, a vehicle and a weapon seized in Zurmat district of Paktia. 1 ISIS affiliate wounded in Dehbala district of Nangarhar.
Afghan National Army as the nation's defense forces, are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
