Peoria County Facilities Closed for Memorial Day

The Peoria County Courthouse, Veterans Assistance Commission, Election Commission, Animal Protection Services (PCAPS), Highway Department offices, and Peoria City/County Health Department offices will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 27, 2024. These departments will reopen on Tuesday, May 28.

Adoption hours at PCAPS on Saturday, May 25 will not be affected by the Monday closure. Animal control officers can be reached at 309-674-3131 on the holiday during normal hours.

The Peoria County Sheriff's Office, Jail, and Juvenile Detention Center will remain staffed and functioning, but records and in-person visitation will be closed. Inmates can still be visited remotely throughout the closure, and the bonding lobby will retain normal hours as well.
