The Pennsylvania AFL-CIO is excited to announce that its 2017 annual Community Services Institute will be held from July 19-22 in Reading, PA. From Wednesday evening through Saturday, members of the labor movement will come together to discuss the many ways labor unions and the Central Labor Councils impact their communities across Pennsylvania. Registration is now open!
Join us for three days of learning, engagement, and action! President Rick Bloomingdale, Secretary-Treasurer Frank Snyder and Community Services Committee Chairman and Executive Director, AFSCME Council 13 Dave Fillman will be joined by speakers from across the movement to present an inclusive and diverse agenda for participants in the Institute. Attendees will be able to develop their knowledge and skill set for engaging community resources.
Our objectives for this year's institute will focus on building strong, effective community partnerships and ways to grow community service committees in Central Labor Councils and local unions. The full agenda will soon be available on the PA AFL-CIO website. See the brochurefor more details.
