Today, specialists of the NBC protection units of the Russian Ministry of Defence, who arrived in the Republic of Abkhazia to help prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, have begun to disinfect social infrastructure facilities.
The military personnel of the combined detachment of the Black Sea Fleet (BSF) carried out a 50-kilometer march from Gudauta to Sukhum, where they began to carry out special processing of the city's infrastructure: the Central hospital, the assembly recruiting station, the archive of the Ministry of Defence of Abkhazia, the central market, etc.
11 NBC protection vehicles are involved in the events: mobile aerosol disinfection complexes, ARS - 14M auto-filling stations with DKV-1K degassing, decontamination and disinfection kits, TMS-65U heat engines with a jet engine, hot mist generators and DC-4 special treatment kits. Also, Russian military specialists of NBCP troops process public roads.
In total, on the first day, it is planned to process more than 50 thousand square meters of various surfaces by the military personnel of the combined detachment of the Black Sea Fleet.
A column of 11 special vehicles of the Black Sea Fleet NBC protection troops made a march from the Crimean Peninsula to the Republic of Abkhazia. During the movement, the column covered more than 800 kilometers.
The combined unit consists of about 30 military personnel of the Black Sea Fleet's NBCP unit.
Before 17 October, the staff conducted a technical inspection of vehicles, medical equipment and means of protection, all military personnel are checked.
In the shortest possible time, the units of the BSF NBCP deployed a temporary fleet and special processing points for equipment involved in disinfection. Then, together with the medical specialists of the Republic of Abkhazia, they assessed the scope of the upcoming work and started performing disinfection measures.
Earlier in April of this year, the combined detachment of the BSF NBCP already took part in disinfection on the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia.
