New Holiday schedules for City facilities
Most City facilities will be closed July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. The Waste Diversion Center will be closed. Trash, recycling and compost will be collected one day later. Some recreation facilities will remain open. Find schedules at LongmontColorado.gov/Holidays.

July 4 Aqua Zumba® at Sunset Pool
Party in the Pool with Recreation fitness instructors 10:30 am - noon on Monday, July 4, for a special holiday Aqua Zumba® class. It'll be a SPLASH! Regular admittance fees apply. Sunset Pool, 1900 Longs Peak Ave., is open today from 10 am-5 pm. Learn more at LongmontColorado.gov/swim.

Community fireworks show
Longmont Skyline Kiwanis and the City will host a community fireworks show and concert on July 4. This year's show will return to the Fox Hill Country Club, 1400 State Highway 119. Gates open at 5:30 pm with food trucks available and the Hazel Miller concert starting at 7 pm. The fireworks display will start at 9:15 pm. No outside food or beverage is allowed. Other locations to watch the fireworks show are Sandstone Ranch Community Park, Union Reservoir (park fees apply), Clark Centennial Park, Stephen Day Neighborhood Park and Jim Hamm Nature Area. These City parks will be open until 11 pm on July 4. Find the full details at LongmontColorado.gov/fireworks.

General area complaints, for instance "fireworks in the area of 17th and Hover" or in the "area of Collyer and 23rd" are difficult to assign resources to.

Rhythm on the River / Greenway Glow 5k
Rhythm on the River: Get your groove back! Embrace the cool Colorado evenings and enjoy free activities and night light fun at Rhythm on the River as we celebrate the environment, the community, art and music from 5-10 pm on Friday, July 8, and Saturday, July 9, at Roger's Grove, 220 Hover St.

The Greenway Glow: Roger's River Run 5K begins Friday night at 7:45 pm. Musical highlights throughout the weekend include The Burroughs and Gasoline Lollipops along with other great acts. Play in the Outdoor Adventure Land and Mobile Arcade, jump and bounce in the Dizzy's Fun Center inflatables, and purchase great food and beverages while you enjoy the festival. New in 2022, the Bricks Marketplace features locally crafted, lovingly made souvenirs, snacks, and keepsakes.
