COVID-19 Vaccinations Now Available for 12-to-15-Year-Olds at FEMA’s St. Louis Community Vaccination Center

Starting today, 12-to-15-year-olds now are eligible to receive a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination at FEMA's Community Vaccination Center (CVC) in downtown St. Louis.

Earlier this week, the Food and Drug Administration granted an Emergency Use Authorization allowing Pfizer to be administered to 12-to-15-year-olds. Following that, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended Pfizer's use for that age group as did the State of Missouri. Both state and federal approvals are required to enable vaccination eligibility for the new age group.

As with 16-and-17-year-olds, a parent or guardian with ID must accompany 12-to-15-year-olds seeking a vaccination. Proof of age for 12-to-15-year-olds is encouraged. Acceptable forms of ID for both age groups include a birth certificate, learner's permit, driver's license, school identification or health insurance card with a date of birth. Legal guardians or relative caregivers accompanying a minor must present an ID and an affidavit confirming their legal authorization to consent to medical treatment of the minor.

The FEMA vaccination center, open 7 days a week at the Dome at America's Center, has been offering Pfizer vaccinations since April 7 and is scheduled to permanently close at 6 p.m. on June 1. This weekend, the center has special operational hours because of the Monster Jam truck show, also being held at the Dome. Saturday, the center is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Monday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Regular operating hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. resume on Tuesday, May 18.

Vaccination appointments are recommended, but not required. Walk-ins are welcome. Anyone getting a second Pfizer dose needs to bring their vaccination card with them.
To make an appointment, go to Missouri Vaccine Navigator.

Through Monday, enter The Dome at the Plaza Central entrance at 6th Street and Convention Plaza. Free parking is available to guests at 6th and Cole Streets. Shuttles are available to bring guests back and forth from the parking lot to the Dome. First doses of Pfizer also will be available through the last day, June 1.
