Gore Voted CoSIDA Academic All-District

KENNESAW, Ga. - Kennesaw State senior attacker has set yet another program milestone as she became the first KSU women's lacrosse player to earn CoSIDA Academic All-District IV Women's At-Large Team honors, the organization of sports information directors (CoSIDA) announced on Thursday. Thanks to her selection, she is now placed on the ballot for Academic All-American consideration.
Student-athletes must be in at least their second season, hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 and be a starter or important reserve to be eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All-District teams. District IV is made up of schools in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.
Gore wrapped up her outstanding season and five-year career at Kennesaw State in earlier this month when she became the first player in ASUN Conference history to reach 100 points in a season. That came just one day after she became the first two-time ASUN Player of the Year, while also picking up ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year recognition for a clean sweep of the league individual awards. That was followed a week later by yet another first by a KSU Owl, when Gore was selected to the IWLCA (Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association) All-South Region Second Team, which has placed her on the ballot for IWLCA All-American honors as well.

The first-ever player to be named All-ASUN First Team four times, the Alpharetta native led the nation in scoring for the majority of the season, and is currently third in the NCAA with a new career, KSU and ASUN record-setting 80 goals, while all-time she is the fourth-leading scorer in NCAA history with 313 goals. She was the key factor for an Owl team that claimed the first winning season in school history, breaking the record for most wins in a season by three games with an 11-7 mark. Gore ranks in the top 10 in the nation in seven categories, including fifth in total points, and she also ranks fifth in draw controls per game at 8.61, while her 155 for the year shattered her previous career record. Gore led the ASUN in goals, points, free position goals and draw controls, and earned a league-high four Player of the Week honors.
She graduated this month from KSU with her master's degree in Systems Engineering, after receiving her bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering Technology in just three years. She held a perfect 4.0 GPA all three years of her undergraduate career as well both years in graduate school. She also claimed Academic All-ASUN honors for the third time in her career.
