The Module 'Belajar Kelola Plastik' of Bakti Barito Foundation Becomes Part Curriculum and Teaching Devices on Merdeka Mengajar Platform

Jakarta - The learning module Kelola Plastik untuk Bumi Lestari compiled by Bakti Barito Foundation (Bakti Barito) and supported by various parties who are experts in their fields, is part of the Merdeka Mengajar Curriculum and teaching devices on the Merdeka Mengajar Platform which was just released by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) on Friday (11/2). The learning module Kelola Plastik untuk Bumi Lestari which is included in the Merdeka Mengajar Platform has passed curation by a team of experts from the Kemendikbudristek.

Merdeka Mengajar is a platform or new media for teachers to assist in the process of Teaching and Learning Activities (KBM) which provides various forms of teaching devices that can be used by teachers to implement KBM in an effort to achieve the Pancasila Student Profile and Learning Outcomes. Learning outcomes adapt to students abilities and learning phases. Teaching devices on the Merdeka Mengajar platform provide a variety of practice questions and modules to improve competence as well as create and inspire teachers and students throughout Indonesia.

Mendikbudristek, Nadiem Makarim said "The Merdeka Mengajar Platform is a platform for teachers that will develop into a platform that is not only ministry material and content, but is actually owned by teachers, from teachers, to teachers," at the launch of the Merdeka Mengajar Platform, Friday (11/2) through the Kemendikbud RI Youtube account.

Belajar Kelola Plastik Learning Program is Bakti Barito effort to support the Government's program in Indonesia to reduce 70% of unmanaged waste. In addition, this program aims to increase the understanding of elementary school students on environmentally responsible behavior, waste management, and circular recycling of plastic waste. Bakti Barito is a member of the National Plastic Action Partnership (NPAP), the Behavior Change task force.

Dian Purbasari as Director of Bakti Barito, said "This educational program is carried out to build teacher and student understanding and support behavior change from an early age in responsible consumption and how to handle plastic products, post-use and proper waste management."

Teaching devices Kelola Plastik untuk Bumi Lestari can be accessed completely and free of charge by anyone through the website belajarkelolaplastik.id.

Furthermore, Ms. Dian A. Purbasari added, "Kelola Plastik untuk Bumi Lestari Module, we hope can help all devices in schools, especially students to always care about the environment and have sustainability insights."

It is hoped that through this learning module, elementary school students can cultivate a pattern of responsible behavior, think critically in the use and management of plastic so that future generations will always care about the environment and sustainability and learn to use plastic wisely and to manage and utilize plastic waste in a circular manner.
