TATNEFT Presents the Company’s Engineering Developments at the Kazan Digital Week Forum

The Company's digital developments include a unique software package for geo-mechanical modeling and a system for automatic losses search in the production activities.

The Kazan Digital Week Forum is taking place in Kazan from September 21 to September 24. Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Tatarstan, and Maksut Shadayev, Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, have taken part in the Forum opening ceremony.

The TATNEFT's project of creating domestic software for the digital format geo-mechanical modeling was presented to honorary guests of the Forum. The system makes it possible to significantly increase the efficiency of well drilling, hydraulic fracturing and, in general, the design and development of oil and gas fields.

Design engineers of TATNEFT together with the University of Innopolis have implemented the full network functionality of 3D modeling, including the calculation of the stress-strain state, as well as accounting for fracturing and fault tectonics of crude oil and gas deposits. The ability of modeling shallow high viscosity oil reservoirs taking into account temperature changes is unique for the Russian oil and gas development practice.

Another TATNEFT project presented within the Kazan Digital Week Forum is the Production Loss Finder, a system for automatic production losses search, developed by TatITNeft, which is a resident of the Innopolis SEZ, and which has already been tested at Tatneft-Presscomposite Works. The engineering development has been protected by several Russian patents.

The system allows detecting reserves of various production sources at enterprises: time, personnel, raw materials and equipment. Usually such problems are performed by the specially consulting agencies, but their services are often not available for relatively small businesses.

The use of the information system is substantially cheaper, and TATNEFT is ready to provide open source code to the enterprises free of charge at the stage of the product launch, thereby supporting the development of production sites in the country.
