Divisions of S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile systems and the crews of the latest Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and gun systems began combat duty at six training grounds involved in Tsentr 2019 maneuvers.
The created air defence shield allows you to detect, track and destroy air targets of a mock enemy, including airplanes and missiles made using a complex of methods for reducing the visibility of military vehicles in radar, infrared and other areas of the detection spectrum.
The military personnel of the air defence units practiced the standards for deploying complexes and moving to reserve position.
The main task of air defence units of the Central Military District during the Tsentr 2019 maneuvers is to cover the assembly area of troops involved in the exercise from aircraft and cruise missile strikes, long-range radar detection equipment and jammers of mock enemy.
The maneuvers involve in total over 128,000 servicemen, over 20,000 pieces of hardware, some 600 aircraft and up to 15 ships and vessels. The main episodes will take place from September 16 to 21 at six combined training grounds located in the Orenburg, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan, Astrakhan and Kemerovo regions, in Dagestan and the Altai Territory, as well as in the Caspian Sea.
To develop joint actions, the military contingents of the People's Republic of China, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of India, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Tajikistan, and the Republic of Uzbekistan are involved in the exercise.
