Ottawa, June 8, 2021 - Owls are coming later this summer to the Canadian Museum of Nature. Visitors will be able to get up close to some of these charismatic birds in a new outdoor exhibition, Owls Rendez-vous, created by the museum in partnership with Little Ray's Nature Centres.

Owls Rendez-vous will include four species of owls, each housed in specially constructed habitats on the museum's elevated plaza along Argyle Avenue. Observe a Barn Owl, Great-horned Owl, Snowy Owl, and Eurasian Eagle Owl, and learn about some adaptations of these birds of prey.

Access to Owls Rendez-vous will be included with regular museum admission.

Installation and construction of the habitats is now underway. A specific opening date will be announced closer to the reopening of the overall museum, which is currently expected in late July subject to the Government of Ontario's phased reopening of the province.
