Norton Rose Fulbright appoints Amanda Wait as Head of Antitrust, United States

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright today announced the appointment of Washington, DC partner Amanda Wait as its Head of Antitrust, United States. Robin Adelstein, who previously held the role, will continue to serve as the firm's Global Head of Antitrust as well as its US Co-Head of Commercial Litigation.

Wait, a former Federal Trade Commission (FTC) lawyer, advises dealmakers and litigants by combining her in-depth knowledge of antitrust agency practice with a business-focused approach to getting deals done. She has guided companies across the healthcare, energy, retail and consumer products, manufacturing, and many other industries through the intricacies involved in presenting their case before the FTC, DOJ and state attorneys general.

Jeff Cody, Norton Rose Fulbright's US Managing Partner, said:

"Amanda is an incredible lawyer with extensive experience representing clients in antitrust investigations and litigation. She is a respected teammate who will provide dynamic leadership the firm's antitrust efforts in the US."

Wait, who is a frequent writer and speaker on antitrust topics, said:

"Rapidly evolving antitrust theories are shifting enforcement and litigation in jurisdictions around the world. Working closely with the more than 150 attorneys in our global antitrust practice, I'm honored to lead our US antitrust team in identifying and implementing strategies to achieve our clients' business goals in antitrust litigation, transactions, and other enforcement matters."

In addition to her law practice, Wait founded the Women in Economics Initiative through the Kautz-Uible Economics Institute and serves as a Trustee of the University of Cincinnati Foundation.
