At the Chkalovsky airfield a welcoming ceremony was held for Russian paratroopers who performed assigned tasks as part of the collective peacekeeping forces of the CSTO in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In course of honoring the servicemen, representatives of the command of the Airborne Troops, the clergy, the leadership of the city of Kubinka, members of the Yunarmiya, family members of the arrived paratroopers-peacekeepers congratulated them on the successful completion of their tasks.

By tradition, the arriving units were greeted with bread and salt.

The Song and Dance Ensemble of the Airborne Troops congratulated the Russian peacekeepers with musical numbers.

The event ended with a solemn march of the arrived units.

At the end of the solemn ceremony, the personnel unloaded equipment from aircraft and began to march to the point of permanent deployment.

Earlier, units of Russian paratroopers from the collective peacekeeping forces of the CSTO, who completed the tasks of protecting socially significant objects in the Republic of Kazakhstan, carried out a flight by military transport aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces from the Almaty airfield to the Ivanovo-Severny airfields (Ivanovo region) and Chkalovsky (Moscow region) and returned home.

On January 14 of this year, after loading equipment and personnel, peacekeeping contingents from Armenia, Belarus and Tajikistan returned to their homeland on Il-76 military transport aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces. The unit of peacekeepers of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan returned to the point of permanent deployment, having made a march on regular equipment on their own.

The return of all peacekeepers to their permanent locations is scheduled to be completed by January 19.
