The Senate failed to invoke cloture on the Women's Health Protection Act (S. 4132). The Senate confirmed the nominations of Jerome Powell for a second term as Federal Reserve Chairman, Lisa Cook and Philip Jefferson to be Members of the Federal Reserve Board, Julia Gordon to lead the Federal Housing Administration, Asmeret Asefaw Berhe to be Director of the Department of Energy's Office of Science, Alvaro Bedoya to be a Member of the Federal Trade Commission, Susan Tsui Grundmann to be a Member of the Federal Labor Relations Authority, and Ann Claire Phillips to be Administrator of the Maritime Administration.
