This forms a proportion of Mears' profits that is donated back to the housing association each year as part of their corporate social responsibility commitment.
To celebrate this substantial donation Mears and CKH held a football tournament friendly where the cheque was presented with colleagues from both organisations in attendance.
CKH Contracts Manager, David Vernon-Richardson, said:
"It was wonderful to get together socially with Mears to celebrate the donation over a friendly football tournament after a difficult year following the pandemic. We are extremely grateful to Mears for this donation which will make a positive difference to so many of our residents who are in greatest need."
Gary Gibbs, Peterborough General Manager of Mears, added:
"We had 14 players from Mears participate and a number of spectators from both Mears and CKH who should be thanked.
"This was also a great team building exercise which saw both back-office staff, operatives and our clients come together. The evening was a great success for both parties, and we are planning to do this again in April."
