Bulk Trash Tips for Gilbert Residents

Gilbert, Ariz. - Gilbert is proud to offer bulk trash pickup to our residents, but our drivers need your help to ensure a smooth pickup. Bulk piles that are too large, placed in resident's yard or contain unacceptable items cannot be picked up.

Don't worry. It's as easy as 1..2..3...

1. Placement

Bulk items should be placed in the street, up against the curband at least 5 feet from obstacles like cars or containers. This allows our tractor crews to service your pile without damaging private property or sidewalks.

This is an issue our drivers encounter a lot on their routes.

2. Contents

Gilbert's bulk trash program is designed for items too large to fit into your curbside trash container, such as unrepairable furniture, mattresses and yard waste. Remember that all tree trimmings need to be less than 5 feet in length and 12 inches in diameter for our crews to pick them up. Find a full list of acceptable and acceptable items My Profile

3. Size

Piles must be no larger than 10-feet long x 5-feet wide x 5-feet high to be picked up.

Gilbert's bulk trash schedule runs every five weeks the exception of the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas. All items collected in our bulk trash program are taken to the landfill. Household trash is not accepted for bulk pickup and should be bagged and placed in your black curbside trash container. Electronics, tires, household cleaners and more can be taken to Gilbert's Household Hazardous Waste Facility.

Bulk trash items should be placed out no earlier than the Saturday prior to your collection week and no later than 5 AM on Monday of your collection week. Find your bulk trash schedule and more tips at gilbertaz.gov/bulktrash.
