The merger affects a total of 15 employees at the two companies, all of whom will keep their jobs. The Bremen and Bremerhaven offices will also be kept, with the Bremen office merely moving to a different location in the city.
Jan Petersen, Managing Director of TMG, said: 'The joint venture will allow us to continue reliably supplying our customers in Bremen and Bremerhaven with heating oil and diesel at attractive prices.'

The Managing Directors of the new entity will be Peter Prien and Uwe Rettinghausen, Sales Director End Users at TMG. The joint venture will do business as a TOTAL brand partner, so that customers will recognize both partners in it.
The joint venture is scheduled to start operating at the beginning of 2018, pending the approval of Germany's antitrust authorities.
Petronord is a subsidiary of Mabanaft, the trading division of Marquard & Bahls, Germany.
