Mayor Purzycki Encourages You to Support Your Favorite Eateries During City Restaurant Week in Wilmington

The annual springtime tradition, now in its 17th year, runs May 23 - 28 and features more than a dozen of Wilmington's finest restaurants

Springtime in Wilmington marks many traditions and one of the best is City Restaurant Week, when local restaurateurs team up to invite residents and visitors alike to experience the best of the City's dining scene. The result is a menu of the City's premiere restaurants offering everything from Asian to French to Italian to Japanese. Chefs look forward to creating special menus that showcase their culinary talents while owners invite diners to sample the unique cuisine of these fine dining spots with prix-fixe options of $15 for a two-course lunch and $35 for a three-course dinner (plus gratuity).
This year marks the 17th annual City Restaurant Week, which begins Monday, May 23, and continues through Friday May 28. City Restaurant Week 2022 is presented by Chase Bank.
"I'm delighted to welcome City Restaurant Week, a beloved annual tradition, back to Wilmington," said Mayor Purzycki. "This is the perfect opportunity to remind residents and visitors that dining out supports our small businesses as well as entire communities. Our City is home to some amazing restaurants, and it's interesting to note that our dining scene is dominated by owner-operators - not a single chain in the bunch. I look forward to seeing everyone out on the town next week as we gather jovially yet safely, mindful of the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic remains with us."
"City Restaurant Week enables us to create fresh menus for the spring, plus it puts emphasis on trying new things and new restaurants within our community," says Dan Butler, owner of Piccolina Toscana. "CRW is a reminder that this city has remarkable dining options in close proximity to one another."

Participating 2022 restaurants are Café Mezzanotte, Cafe Verdi Ristorante Italiano, Chelsea Tavern, Del Pez Mexican Gastropub, Dorcea, La Fia Bakery + Market + Bistro, Mikimotos, Park Café, Piccolina Toscana, Rosenfeld's Delicatessen, Santa Fe Mexican Grill, Walter's Steakhouse, Washington Street Ale House, and Wilma's. Reservations are strongly suggested.
In addition to Chase, sponsors for this year's event include the City of Wilmington, Wilmington Convention and Visitors Bureau, 99.5 WJBR, Out& About Magazine, Stateside Urbancraft Vodka, 2SP Brewing Company, and InWilm.
