Football Medicine Forum with Professor Tim Meyer

Jamie Crain, CEO of Sports Medicine Australia, is delighted to announce Professor Tim Meyer, Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport (JSAMS) and Chair of the German Football Association and UEFA's medical committee, is headlining Sports Medicine Australia's Football Medicine Forum across three major cities -

  • Sydney: Friday 7 October - Valentine Sports Park, Glenwood
  • Melbourne: Monday 10 October - Melbourne Sports Centre, Parkville
  • Brisbane: Thursday 13 October - Venue TBC

The full-day program for the Sydney event, supported by Football NSW and Football Australia, features presentations, practical demonstrations, panel discussions, and a Q&A.

Professor Meyer, and a stellar line-up of leading sports medicine practitioners and coaches, will share their expertise on injury prevention, heading and concussion, women in football, sudden cardiac events, exercising in heat, and much more. Speakers joining Professor Meyer include Dr Kerry Peek, Dr Matt Whalan, Professor Ollie Jay, Andrew Ross, Stella Veith, Georgia Brown, and more to follow!

This event is open for everyone to attend but is a must-attend for Physios, Doctors, Sports Trainers, Coaches, and Conditioning Staff.

SMA is delighted to host Professor Meyer before he joins the German national football team to attend the FIFA World Cup in Qatar this November.
