(WASHINGTON) - Today, May 17th, the Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Protection, & Innovation, chaired by Rep. Yvette D. Clarke (D-NY), will hold a hearingto hear from Administration officials on the status of efforts to strengthen the cybersecurity of Federal networks. In light of the SolarWinds compromise discovered in December 2020, the Biden Administration and Congress have prioritized enhanced Federal network security, including by providing $650 million to CISA in the American Rescue Plan Act and issuing Executive Order 14028. This hearing will also be an opportunity to hear from officials at key Federal agencies responsible for securing Federal networks, learn more about the progress the Biden Administration has made, the strategy going forward, and how Congress can continue to support these efforts.
