Service Changes Announced for The Hartford Line

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) announced the restoration of Amtrak service on the Hartford Line due to improving operational conditions within the Amtrak system. The following rail schedule changes will go into effect on Monday, April 25, 2022.

New Haven-bound:

  • Weekday Amtrak train 451 will return to regular train service, departing Springfield at 5:10 AM
  • Weekday Amtrak train 475 will return to regular operating times, departing Springfield at 3:55 PM
  • Weekend Amtrak train 405 will return to regular train service, departing Springfield at 7:25 AM
  • Sunday Amtrak train 465 will return to regular train service departing Springfield at 4:00 PM
  • Weekend Amtrak train 143 departing Springfield at 6:00 AM will notoperate

Hartford/Springfield-bound:

  • Weekday Amtrak train 412 will return to regular train service, departing New Haven at 10:59 PM (Monday-Thursday only)
  • Weekday Amtrak train 470 will return to regular operating times, departing New Haven Union Station at 10:26 AM
  • Friday Amtrak train 136 departing New Haven Union Station at 10:59 PM will notoperate
  • Weekend Amtrak train 450 will return to regular train service, departing New Haven at 8:55 AM
  • Saturday Amtrak train 460 will operate in place of train 458 and depart New Haven Union Station at 11:00 AM
  • Sunday Amtrak train 416 will return to regular train service, departing New Haven at 7:50 PM
  • Saturday Amtrak train 146 departing New Haven Union Station at 9:54 PM will notoperate

Passengers are encouraged to visit HartfordLine.comor Amtrak.comfor the latest service information. Information about all rail services in Connecticut is available at CTrail.com. The One Ticket, Any Train program remains in effect. Customers may purchase and use rail tickets purchased from Amtrak or CTrail ticket vending machines on any Hartford Line train.

The requirement of a wearing a Mask on public transportation has been lifted and will no longer be enforced on Hartford Line, and Shore Line East services and rail facilities in Connecticut. Per current CDC guidelines, wearing a mask is strongly encouraged. Customers who feel sick should not use public transportation.
