Enjoy a twilight hike to greet the full moon in Indiana Dunes National Park's Miller Woods. Join park rangers at the Paul H. Douglas Center for Environmental Education at 7:00 p.m., on Friday, July 23.
Experience the sights, sounds and smells of Miller Woods at dusk along this moderately strenuous 2-mile hike to the beach. A shuttle bus will be available to bring hikers back to their cars at the center. Bring along bug repellent, water, and a flashlight. We recommend that hikers wear long pants and close-toed shoes on this trail.
The Paul H. Douglas Center for Environmental Education is located in the western portion of the national park at 100 North Lake Street, about one mile north of U.S. Highway 12 in the Miller section of Gary.
