An Easter Message

Our theme verses this year from Philippians 4:6-7 tell us to "not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present [our] requests to God." The verses promise us that the "peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard [our] hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." How fortunate that we can rest in the peace of God this Easter?

The resurrection of Christ adds an even deeper layer of meaning to these words, for it signifies the ultimate victory over despair and the assurance of new beginnings. May we look to the finished work of the cross with gratitude and joy. May we rejoice that we are redeemed, forgiven and more than conquerors because of Jesus' death on the cross.

As we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, we pray that you are filled with joy, peace and hope in knowing that He lives.
