SLC Agrícola receives delegation from Indonesia to learn about its cotton manufacturing process

A delegation formed by executives from Indonesian companies visited four of SLC Agrícola´s farms in three states between July 25 and 27. The objective of the Asian country's visit was to learn about the cotton production chain. Indonesia is one of the main destinations for the cotton produced by the Brazilian company. Representatives from the companies PT Gokak Indonesia, PT Kahatex, PT Indo-Rama Synthetic Tbk and Aditya Birla Group were part of the delegation. SLC Agrícola's Director of Sales and New Business, Aldo Tissot, accompanied the visit.

The Indonesian delegation visited the Paiaguás (MT), Perdizes (MT), Pantanal (MS) and Pamplona (GO) Farms. The representatives from these Asian companies were able to observe all the cotton production processes, from agricultural planning through to the final classification of product quality and preparation of the lots that will be delivered to customers. At Fazenda Pamplona, for example, the delegation visited SLC Agrícola´s Cotton Classification Center and in Goiânia, they had the opportunity to visit the Laboratory of Associação Goiana dos Produtores de Algodão [Goiana Association of Cotton Producers] (Agopa), where the intrinsic fiber quality of the bales produced by the company are measured using the HVI (High Volume Instrument) methodology.

The Asian leaders highlighted the importance of the visit and thanked the Director of SLC Agrícola for the knowledge acquired. "Really, it was a wonderful and memorable trip to the farms and the country of SLC Agrícola. It was a very well planned and executed educational visit", said Gaurav Aggarwal, Commercial Manager of PT Indo-Rama Synthetic Tbk.
