Missing teen – Mavis WHITFORD

We are seeking public assistance to locate a missing Calgary girl.

Mavis WHITFORD, 13, was last seen leaving the northwest community of Bowness on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at approximately 6:40 p.m. She was spotted later the same evening in Kensington and may be in the downtown area.

WHITFORD is 5'3' tall and approximately 125 pounds with a slim build. She has brown eyes and shoulder length brown hair. WHITFORD was wearing a red winter jacket, black crop top, grey sweatpants, black running shoes and a blue backpack.

A photo of WHITFORD is available on The City of Calgary Newsroom.

At this time, there is nothing to indicate foul play is involved. Although this case does not meet the threshold for an Amber Alert, we are working with our partners at the Missing Children's Society of Canada to issue an alert in hopes of locating WHITFORD.

Anyone who knows of her whereabouts is asked to contact police at 403-266-1234. Tips can also be shared anonymously through Crime Stoppers using any of the following methods:
