Moolenaar Statement on Biden Withdrawing the OSHA Vaccine Requirement

Today, the Biden Administration officially withdrew the OSHA vaccine requirement on businesses with 100 or more employees. The requirement had previously been blocked by the Supreme Court.

"This is a victory for the American people, but President Biden must do more, and end his mandates on health care workers, Head Start teachers, and truck drivers. Biden's top-down approach has not worked. His mandates could potentially cause larger labor shortages, and negatively affect the supply chains Michigan families depend on," said Congressman John Moolenaar.

On January 20th, the Biden Administration announced non-citizens who work in the U.S., including nurses and truck drivers, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Ag Daily reported that "Farm Bureau fears vaccine mandate will lead to more supply chain troubles."

Last Friday, Moolenaar supported Saginaw Intermediate School District's lawsuit against the Biden Administration's vaccine mandate on Head Start employees.

This past November, Moolenaar led congressional opposition to the Biden Administration's vaccine mandate on large businesses by introducing the No Vaccine Mandate Act. More information on the No Vaccine Mandate Act can be found here.
