Ft. Totten Transfer Station Closed for Bulk Drop Off

The DC Department of Public Works (DPW) announced today that residential and commercial drop-off at the Ft. Totten Transfer Station, located at 4900 John F. McCormack Road, NE, will be closed Monday, September 20, 2021 through Friday, September 24, 2021, due to a fire in a bulk pile outside of the facility. The fire was extinguished without incident by the DC Fire Department. At this time, no bulk drop-off will be accepted. Service is expected to resume Monday, September 27, 2021.

Household trash and recycling collection for residents serviced by DPW will be collected as scheduled.
