The issues of raising the Uzbek-Hungarian relations to the level of strategic partnership were discussed.

The dialogue between the leaders of Uzbekistan and Hungary was previously held in a narrow format.

Welcoming the guest, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that this will open a new era in relations between the two countries. Viktor Orban expressed satisfaction with his visit to our country, noting that Hungary is interested in expanding cooperation with Uzbekistan. The prospects of cooperation in the political, trade and economic, investment, financial, technical, cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed at the talks.

The parties confirmed their readiness to raise Uzbek-Hungarian relations to the level of strategic partnership based on mutual trust and a wide range of common interests.

An agreement was reached on strengthening long-term cooperation, launching new areas of mutual interest, maintaining contacts between business circles and regions. The parties exchanged views on international and regional issues of mutual interest. The views and approaches to strengthening peace, security and stability were reaffirmed.
