New LOGOS December 2021 Quarterly EU Reports for ICOMIA and IMEC now available

LOGOShas released two reports for its December 2021 Quarterly EU Updates, forICOMIAand IMEC. The reports are now available for British Marine members to download.

The ICOMIA report provides updates on the following items:

  • Recreational Craft and Personal Watercraft Directive 2013/53
  • Ship Recycling Regulations (SRR)
  • NAIADES III Action Plan
  • Biocidal Products Regulation (EU) No 528/2012
  • Port Reception Facilities (PRF) for ship-generated waste and cargo residues
  • Industrial Emissions Directive 2010/75/EU
  • Marine Strategy Framework Directive 2008/56/EC
  • Water framework Directive, Groundwater Directive and Bathing Water Directive
  • EU Emission Trading System
  • Trade Issues

The second report that LOGOS has published, which is for IMEC, provides updates on the following items:

  • Recreational Craft and Personal Watercraft Directive 2013/53
  • Directive 2014/94/EU on Alternative Fuels Infrastructure (AFID)
  • National Emissions Ceiling Directive (Directive 2016/2284)
  • Circular Economy Action plan (CEAP)
  • Batteries and waste batteries
  • REACH and Chemical legislation
  • Restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment
  • Non-Road Mobile Machinery
  • European Green Deal priorities

ICOMIA has also just launched a new public consultation for the evaluation of the EU New Legislative Framework (NLF) for industrial products. The aim is to improve the internal market for goods by improving market surveillance and boosting the quality of conformity assessments. ICOMIA invites companies to participate, or depending on the response, will share it as a single ICOMIA submission. Further information can be found here.

British Marine members can respond to the New Legislative Framework (NLF) consultation by emailing your responses to [email protected]. The consultation closes on the 7 March 2022, please have all responses in to the British Marine Technical team no later than 2 March 2022 to ensure they can be submitted to ICOMIA.
