Dorsalys is to build a high voltage line for electricity network operator FEDA in Andorra

The route of the future power line (2 x 110 KV + optical fibre), already modelled by our design office with LiDAR data processing software, has been optimized to minimize the infrastructures' environmental impact. Once the studies have been completed, the work will be carried out in three stages: foundations and civil engineering, raising the pylons with a lifting mast and rolling out the cables.

In strict compliance with environmental standards and the protection of flora and fauna, our experts will install the overhead lines on pylons built by our Spanish subsidiary Eiffage Energía, while a second team will take charge of rolling out cables for the underground part of the project. The overhead part of the line will rest on 69 pylons which have been sized to facilitate their integration into the landscape. The new line is to run 17.5 kilometres through the mountain. The felling of trees on the course will be kept to a minimum and carried out by Andorran companies who will also handle the foundation blocks and earthworks.

Our employees will work in synergy on this project, so as to install a high-voltage line capable of absorbing the surplus production generated by renewable energies. Once the new line is operational and connected to the network, our teams will be able to remove the current line and the old pylons.

The works began this summer and are scheduled until autumn 2023.
