To support the people of Australia, who continue to live with the devastating impacts from the bushfires, The Harley-Davidson Foundation is donating $100,000 USD to Give2Asia, an organization providing aid for immediate relief and long-term recovery efforts in Australia.
In partnership with Give2Asia, Harley-Davidson funding will be used to support displaced families and recovery efforts through these trusted organizations: Australian Red Cross, The Salvation Army (New South Wales), Foodbank Victoria, NSW Rural Fire Service Association, Country Fire Authority (Victoria) and Greening Australia. Additional funding will also support long-term habitat restoration and ecological recovery to mitigate bushfire risk in the future.
'At Harley-Davidson, we're committed to supporting the communities where we live, work and ride,' said Julie Anding, VP and Chief Human Resources Officer and Harley-Davidson Foundation President. 'We are proud to support the recovery efforts in Australia through this donation as we rally together with our Australian employees and dealers during this difficult time.'
