Sber earns platinum on Forbes ranking of Russia’s best employers

Sber has won platinum, earning the highest spot on the list of Russia's Best Employers compiled by Forbes with the audit firm KPMG.

The ranking emphasized ESG business practices. Sber received over 70 points in 18 key metrics grouped into "employees and society", "corporate governance" and "environment" blocks. A total of 104 Russian companies have been ranked, while only 11 employers were awarded platinum. The jury - experts from rating agencies, environmentalists, ESG and sustainability specialists - voted for each of the companies, raising or dropping them by one line. The ranking has been published since 2019.

The jury recognized Sber's research efforts encompassing over 160 projects being implemented across the company's business units, such as SberAutoTech unmanned vehicles, a disinfection robot, and Sber's REC trading platform. Sber also signed an agreement with Sistema PJSFC to open a RUB 10 bn line of credit with the rate of each loan pegged to sustainability KPIs.

Previously, Sber was named the only Russian company to hit the World's Best Employers ranking compiled by Forbes and Statista.
