Alley Closure Notice: Alley from 22nd Street to Seerley Boulevard

Beginning the week of August 15, 2022, the contractor will begin the reconstruction of the alley from 22nd Street to Seerley Boulevard between Franklin Street and Clay Street. In order for the contractor to begin, an alley closure will be required. The closure will be in effect for six (6) to eight (8) weeks, depending on the weather. Please see the closure area highlighted below.

Garbage and yard waste collection will temporarily be moved onto the side streets, Franklin Street and Clay Street, and the time and day of pickup will not change during this time. Collection for this area of the city is still Wednesdays at 7:00 a.m. For safety's sake, please stay away from the construction area. Heavy equipment will be moving back and forth in the closed alley. It would be advisable to stay behind the sidewalk on the property side during the reconstruction work.
