Shavkat Mirziyoyev visits the International Mathematical School

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the International Mathematical School in Karakul districts.

This institution was organized in 2009 in the form of a specialized general education school. Until recently, there were no modern conditions here. But the unique teaching method developed here has turned an ordinary rural school into an educational institution known throughout the country. In the past three years, all graduates of the school have entered universities, and students regularly become winners of international Olympiads. To get an education at school, young people come here from all regions.

By the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of August 9, 2019, this educational institution was transformed into the International Mathematical School. The building of the former vocational college was renovated and transferred to the school. All conditions have been created here: 64 classrooms are modernly equipped, gyms, a library, a dormitory have been built for students.

Education at the school begins from the 7th grade. Admission is carried out based on the tests of the State Testing Center for Economics, Exact and Natural Sciences. Currently, 470 boys and girls study here. They are taught by over 60 qualified teachers.

The Head of the state talked with the school staff.

"We started serious reforms in all areas. We attract the most modern technologies from abroad. To use them, we need education, personnel with potential. The more you know, the more efficiently the work we have begun will progress, the faster the country will develop. We will pay constant attention to education and teachers", Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

Projects were also presented to disseminate the experience of the International Mathematical School, to train IT specialists.
