Derek Correa named AMGPKCAC Setter of the Week

The American Midwest/Great Plains/Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference announces the following men's volleyball players of the week for games played February 3-9, 2020. Players were nominated and chosen by a vote of conference Sports Information Directors.

Attacker of the Week: Hiago Crins, Park (Mo.) (Opposite)
Crins, a senior from Paranapanema Brazil, had 39 total kills, 23 digs, and 18 blocks. He averaged 3.33 kills per set and hit .425 in three matches.

Defender of the Week: Hiago Crins, Park (Mo.) (Opposite)
Crins, a senior from Paranapanema Brazil, had seven blocks against Mount Mercy (Iowa), six against Missouri Valley, and five against Park (Ariz.). He nearly recorded a triple double against Mount Mercy with 13 kills, nine digs, and seven block assists. Crins currently leads the NAIA in blocks per set at 1.83.

Setter of the Week: Derek Correa, Jamestown (N.D.)
Correa, a freshman from Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, had 159 assists in four matches as Jamestown went 3-1 last week. Correa had 46 assists against Viterbo (Wis.), 42 against Indiana Tech, 40 in a loss to #2 Grand View (Iowa), and 31 against William Penn (Iowa). He currently leads the NAIA in assists per game with 11.86.
