Serve Your Community, Earn Extra Money as an Election Worker for the 2022 General Election

The Humboldt County Office of Elections is gearing up for the quickly approaching California Statewide General Election on Tuesday, November 8 and is recruiting community members to help run the election.

Poll worker positions are a great way to earn experience and extra money by helping ensure the election runs smoothly. Individuals as young as 16 can apply.

Election workers must be able to read and write in fluent English, and either be registered to vote, or a high school student 16 to 17 years of age with a grade point average of 2.5 or greater, or a permanent resident of the United States. Additionally, poll workers serving in manager positions must be registered to vote.

All election worker positions are paid. The Election Worker Overview provides additional information about each position, including specific duties, time commitment, and compensation.
