Susanville, CA - On Friday, August 10, 2018 at approximately 5:55pm, Officers from the Susanville Police Department responded to US Bank, located on the 900 block of Main Street for a report of a bank robbery. The teller complied with the demand and handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect managed to get away before police were called. Lassen County Dispatch had notified that the suspect had fled in a White Ford Truck, described as a utility type vehicle. Suspect was a white male adult, wearing a green shirt and had a beard or facial hair.

A Susanville Police Officer identified the vehicle in the Walmart Parking lot by identifying the last 3 numbers of the license plate and the description given by Dispatch. The Officer attempted to make a traffic stop at that time and the suspect fled heading down Hwy 36 to Hwy 395. At this point, California Highway Patrol, Lassen County Sheriff Department joined the pursuit. California Highway Patrol took charge of the pursuit as it continued out of Susanville City Limits with a Susanville Police Officer in toll. Nevada Highway Patrol and Washoe County Sherriff Department was also notified of the pursuit headed towards Reno, Nevada.

The pursuit continued into the jurisdiction of the Washoe County Sheriff Department and Nevada Highway Patrol, where he was subsequently taken into custody. The suspect was then identified as a 39 year old male, Noah David Bodwell, from Sacramento, California.
