Illinois Soybean Growers Congratulates Governor-Elect Pritzker

BLOOMINGTON, ILL. - November 7, 2018 - Lynn Rohrscheib, Illinois Soybean Growers (ISG) chairwoman and a soybean farmer from Fairmount, Illinois, released the following statement after JB Pritzker was elected as Illinois' governor.

'We congratulate JB Pritzker on his new post as Illinois' 43rd governor. On behalf of Illinois' 43,000 soybean growers, we look forward to working with Governor-elect Pritzker to ensure the continued success of soybean production in Illinois. We share Pritzker's enthusiasm for 'no small plans for Illinois' and we echo those sentiments in the soybean industry. To remain as the nation's top soybean producing state, it will require partnership at all levels to champion for infrastructure improvements, market growth opportunities both domestic and abroad, and innovative solutions to some of today's most pressing issues. We look forward to working with the Pritzker administration in moving Illinois forward in big ways.'
