RJC Urges Senate Passage of Aid for Essential Security Partners

Washington, DC (April 23, 2024) - The Republican Jewish Coalition released the following statement regarding the U.S. Senate voting on emergency aid to Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan.

RJC National Chairman Senator Norm Coleman and CEO Matt Brooks said:

Today, the U.S. Senate must act to ensure the delivery of urgently-needed military aid to support our key allies under attack or imminent threat of attack: Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan.

This is not a perfect bill. It would be a better bill if Republicans controlled both chambers of Congress. But this is not a moment to hold out for the perfect bill. This is a moment when America is obligated to stand by our allies in their moment of dire need.

For Jewish Americans and all Americans who support Israel's right to exist, this is the most important vote of the year. As the Jewish state fights for its very survival, it is more important than ever that the Middle East's only democracy has what it needs to defeat terrorism and defend its citizens.

As Iran, Russia, and China continue their brutal aggression, this is a time for leadership and moral clarity.

RJC thanks the Members of both parties who are supporting this legislation.

The world is watching. The time to act is now!
