Visit Downtown Tyler on Saturday for Hit the Bricks!

On the second Saturday of every month, Downtown Tyler celebrates Hit the Bricks. Follow Downtown Tyleron Facebook for updates and more information. See below for all activities happening in Downtown Tyler on August 13.

Activities

  • Gallery Main Street's newest exhibit is on display! Visit Plaza Tower Atrium to view Ingrid Horner's art exhibit. This is a featured artist exhibit of a local artist from the Tyler area. Come out to view some amazing talent!
  • Rose City Farmer's Market will be set up at ETX Brewing from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday for Kid's Day! Enjoy a morning full of market vendors and activities including: Kids' Yoga, Story Time, Fire Truck and Crew, Popsicles, Face Painting, interactive bubbles and Water Balloon Games. More information can be found here. Additionally, Fire Station 1 Tyler Crew and Truck will be at Rose City Farmers Market on Saturday for Kids Day Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.! (Be advised: they will still be on duty and if an emergency call is received, they will need to respond and leave the event.)
  • Join the STEM Club with Code Ninjas at the Tyler Public Library on August 13 at 3 p.m.! The event is open to all school-age children and teens! Join Code Ninja sensei's to learn about earth batteries and make circuits using potatoes and lemons. This activity will be meeting in the Makerspace on the third floor. Please review the available slots on the website here. If multiple children from your family are attending, please sign up for each child individually.
  • Dinosaurs are still at Discovery Science Place! Tiny Titans: Dinosaur Eggs and Babies Exhibit will be available this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is the last month to view this exhibit, so be sure to stop by!
  • Liberty Hall presents Jimmy Fortune on Friday at 7 p.m., and then will be showing "The Little Mermaid: Sing Along" on the Big Screen on Saturday at 3 p.m.! Don't miss out and purchase your tickets at LibertyTyler.com.

Downtown has a variety of restaurants and shopping stores. College Ave., open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
