Building Safety Month

May is Building Safety Month, a public awareness campaign recognized throughout the country.

But what exactly is building safety?

According to our team, it is the process by which a project is designed, reviewed and constructed in accordance with the latest model building codes. It can be as simple as ensuring smoke detectors are provided in residential dwellings to something more complex like confirming compliance with egress requirements of a high rise resort hotel and casino in downtown Las Vegas. Building safety encompasses all elements to ensure a safe built environment.

Our team works hard to ensure the places we live, visit and work are safe, resilient and accessible by all.

Permits

Are you a homeowner in the city of Las Vegas? If so, here are ten permits you may not already know you need when doing home projects:

  • Patio Covers
  • Water Heaters
  • HVAC change outs
  • Minor Electrical (adding 5 or less electrical devices)
  • Water main repair/replacement
