Reynold Lambert to be Honored with Good Scout Award from Boy Scouts of America

Reynold Lambert, a partner in Lowenstein's Business Litigation and Class Action Litigation practices, will be honored by the Boy Scouts of America's Patriots' Path Council at its annual Legal Services Awards Dinner on Wed., June 29.

Lambert, the son of Cuban immigrants, will be one of four attorneys recognized with the "Good Scout Award" for exemplifying the ideals of the Boy Scouts and for outstanding community service to underserved communities. Other recipients will include retired judges Efrain Alvarado and Joseph A. Dickson, and Peter J. Torcicollo.

The Good Scout Award is presented to individuals who in their everyday life exemplify the ideals of the Boy Scouts of America as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law. They are chosen for their outstanding community service, their leadership in the organizations they support, as well as the respect and esteem in which they are held by their friends and colleagues in the legal service industry.

"I am truly humbled to be recognized by the Boy Scouts of America with this honor," said Lambert. "As the son of immigrant parents, I know first-hand how important positive role models and resources are for character development as a youth. It has been extremely fulfilling for me to pass it forward and help to extend the reach of the Boy Scouts of America in the communities where I live."

In addition to annually honoring individuals in the legal services industry that have and will support the Patriots' Path Council, BSA programs in the chapter's underserved communities, the Legal Services Awards Dinner raises funds for programs that send underprivileged youth to four Boy Scouts' camps in New Jersey and New York. There are over 2,500 youth served in this program and a total of 10,000 youth total served in traditional Scouting in the Patriots' Path Council area.

Lambert's practice focuses on complex commercial disputes, class actions, and domestic and international arbitrations. He fervently believes that lawyers should use their skills to help those who cannot afford legal services. At Lowenstein, he dedicates a substantial amount of his time to pro bono matters and works closely with the firm's Center for Public Interest. He also is an active leader in the firm's diversity and inclusion initiatives, and a founding member of its Diversity Leadership Network.

Outside of the firm, Lambert is the Immediate Past President of the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey, which is the voice of the Latinx legal community in New Jersey. He also is a Board Member of Essex-Newark Legal Services and a former Committee Member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Model (Civil) Jury Charges.

Lambert was recognized by the New Jersey Law Journal as a 'Diverse Attorney of the Year' and was named to ROI's Influencers List of the most impactful People of Color in New Jersey. He was also recognized by the Hispanic National Bar Association as one of the country's "Top Lawyers Under 40."
