It's beginning to sink in that the Calder Cup won't be ours for the next 12 months. That's a bummer, but only because our guys pushed themselves to the breaking point (and sometimes beyond) in their efforts to be the last team standing.
While not everybody suffered internal injuries during the postseason run (thankfully), we are equally grateful to everyone on our team - from head coach Rocky Thompson all the way to assistant equipment managers Eric Rivard and Tyler Carpenter - for dedicating themselves to the pursuit from Day 1 all the way to June 8.
We couldn't help but notice that the media also appreciated our team's efforts. Here are some links to stories about our team.
Chicago Sun-Times: For a region not accustomed to springs without postseason hockey, the Wolves' run through the AHL playoffs was greatly appreciated. It gave the hockey community a team to rally around.
Chicago Sun-Times: Golden Knights noticing, appreciating Wolves' success
Inside AHL Hockey: Wolves fall in finals, but their players rose to the occasion
EP Rinkside: Cody Glass isn't ready for a break
The Hockey Writers: Both sides gave everything they had

Stay tuned…in the days to come, we'll reveal our date for the 2019-20 home opener!
