On July 10, 2020, at 9:00 a.m., members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Chandler Cardente, age 26, on an Affidavit/ Arrest Warrant from Woonsocket Police for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. The arrest was the result of an investigation by the VFTF. Mr. Cardente was transported to the Lincoln Barracks, processed and later turned over to the Woonsocket Police Department.

On July 10, 2020, at 1:45 p.m., members of the Gaming Enforcement Unit arrested Melissa DaSilva, age 36, of 17 Enfield Drive, West Warwick, Rhode Island for Domestic-Disorderly Conduct. The arrest was the result of Twin River Casino Hotel Security observing two disorderly subjects and a subsequent investigation by members of the Gaming Enforcement Unit. Ms. DaSilva was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing and was later arraigned in front of Justice of The Peace Peter Hopkins where she was released on $1,000.00 personal recognizance with a future court date in Third Division District Court.

On July 10, 2020, at 1:45 p.m., members of the Gaming Enforcement Unit arrested Frank Vessella, age 28, of 17 Enfield Drive, West Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Domestic-Disorderly Conduct and 2.) Domestic Vandalism - 2nd Offense. The arrest was the result of Twin River Casino Hotel Security observing two disorderly subjects and a subsequent investigation by members of the Gaming Enforcement Unit. Mr. Vessella was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing and was later arraigned in front of Justice of The Peace Peter Hopkins where he was released on $2,000.00 personal recognizance with a future court date in Third Division District Court.

On July 10, 2020, members of the Major Crimes Unit charged inmate Jernell Cook, age 34, of 1000 Read Street, Attleboro, Massachusetts, as a Fugitive from Justice from the State of Massachusetts. This arrest was the result of an investigation by members of the Major Crimes Unit assigned to the Adult Correctional Institutions. Inmate Cook was arraigned in Third District Court, where he waived extradition proceedings and was remanded to the Adult Correctional Institutions to await Massachusetts authorities.
