As of September 22, 2022, the fruit processing companies have received more than 4,700 tonnes of non-standard ( poor quality ) apples, in consequence, farmers earned more than GEL 1.1 million.

Within the framework of the state program, the Rural Development Agency subsidizes non-standard apples at 10 tetri per 1 kg of non-standard apples. The program included all those fruit processing enterprises which would purchase 1 kg of non-standard (poor quality) apples at no less than 24 tetri from individuals employed in the horticulture sector by December 15, 2022.

10 processing enterprises are included in the program to promote the sale of non-standard apple harvest.

The program allows farmers to deliver industrial apples, and at the same time supplies fruit processing enterprises with raw materials.
