A Sherman Oaks man was sentenced today to 15 years and four months in state prison for stabbing both of his fathers multiple times, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced.
Deputy District Attorney Manuel Almada said Matthew Boulet, 23, pleaded no contest last month to two counts of attempted murder and admitted allegations of causing great bodily injury.
On July 24, 2018, the defendant stabbed one of his fathers multiple times on the neck, torso, arms, face and ears, the prosecutor said. When the victim's husband attempted to intervene, he also was stabbed multiple times on the arms, torso and face, the prosecutor added.
Case LA088829 was investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, Van Nuys Station.
